Overview of Missions
- Donated 10 thanksgiving turkeys and gift cards to needy families of Lely Elementary school children
- Collected and delivered 257 pounds of beans and rice to the migrant farm worker community
- Collected and delivered hygiene products to Mision Peniel
- Donated $1,000 to collier resource center
- Donated $1,000 to Freedom Water Foundation
- Delivered individually wrapped receiving blankets and rattles to new mothers
- Collected over $11,000 for the powerpack back pack program – suppling food to school aged children over the weekend
- Raised over $1,500 for flood victims in Hazard, Kentucky
- Raised over $1,500 for Ukranian refugees
- Donated $1,000 to Mission Peniel
- Provided 30 Christmas gifts to new horizon students through our giving tree effort
- Raised funds for Kentucky tornado victims
- Maintain a clothes closet at Lely Elementary for special situations
Board of Deacons
- Care for the Congregation
- Phone calls, cards and/ or e-mails to shut-ins and/ or people in need.
- Taking sanctuary flowers or food to ill or grieving people, or to Assisted and Independent Living Facilities
- Communion Set-up and Breakdown
- Assisting with Fellowship Hours
Meals of Hope
Each week the Meals of Hope parks their refrigerated truck in our church parking lot. Members of our church assist with distribution of food every Monday afternoon to many needy families.
Lely Christian Missions Organization
This organization is made up of men and women of the church who have a heart for mission work. Their projects include: Monetary support for the “Back Pack program of Collier County”; and workers meet to pack and distribute the Back Packs.
