Lely Presbyterian Donates Funds to Feeding Dreams

$7870 was raised to support the children of Lely Elementary with food for the weekends.  What a generous congregation!  Thank you, Lely presbyterian!

In Florida, thousands of children face food insecurity every weekend.
Feeding Dreams steps in to help—providing weekend backpack meals to at-risk students every Friday. These meals ensure children have enough to eat until Monday, so they can return to school nourished and ready to learn.

But food isn’t the only need.
Many of these same children also lack basic school supplies. That’s why Lely Presbyterian Church proudly supports both Feeding Dreams and Misión Piñal—two missions working hand-in-hand to uplift young lives. While Feeding Dreams fills backpacks with food, Misión Piñal helps provide the backpacks themselves, giving children the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Together, these missions nourish bodies, minds, and futures.
We invite you to be part of this life-changing work. Your support can help feed a child, equip them for school, and show them they are not alone.

Holy Week & Easter Services

This Holy Week, we have many opportunities for worship. Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to one or more of these services!

On April 17, a Maundy Thursday Service will be held at 5:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Maundy Thursday (from mandatum, Latin for commandment) proclaims Jesus’ new commandment to love one another as he has loved us. It celebrates Christ’s example of humble service and self-offering, represented by the sharing of communion. My message for this service – based on Matthew 26:47-50 – is entitled: Friend.

On April 18, a Good Friday Tenebrae Service will be held at noon in the Sanctuary. Tenebrae, which is a Latin word meaning “shadows,” has been observed in the church of Jesus Christ since the fourth century. On Good Friday we will remember the death of Jesus and recall his seven last words on the cross.

This coming Sunday, April 20 is Easter Sunday. We will have one worship service at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary and my message – based on John 20:1-18 – is entitled: Unfolding God’s Love.

Shawn and Ayana

Ayana Shouts It From the Roof Tops, "JESUS is My Lord and Savior"

Ayana gets Baptised and Shawn and Ayana Become Lely's Newest Members!

Betrothed couple Shawn Marrero and Ayana Ramtahal, longtime residents of Naples made it official.  Lely Church is their home.

With the public  baptism of Ayana, the new couple became members of God’s family here at Lely Presbyterian Church. 

Ayana and her family are originally from Trinidad and Tobago. She grew up in Naples even attending Sunday school at Lely Presbyterian as a little girl with her sister. 

Shawn is originally from New York and has been a resident of Naples since 2014. Shawn is a local business owner. Ayana runs a family business owned by her parents and is also a local realtor. 

The Lely Church family embraces this newest branch of the Body of Christ.  Please pray with us for Shawn’s and Ayana’s spiritual journey. God is smiling.

A GRAND DAY FOR LELY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

It’s official!!  On March 30th, Lely Presbyterian Church inked the deal with the installation ceremony of Pastor Jonas Hayes.  With song and praise, the event was officiated by the Peace River Presbytery. Friends, family and colleagues spoke. And was attended by many.
